VPX3 based on Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC

The following is a VPX3-ZU1 3U OpenVPX core board that complies with the VPX standard.

The PanaTeQ VPX3-ZU1 board complies with the OpenVPX 3U standard and features the Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+ multi-core processor SoC, integrated quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 application processing unit (APU), dual-core ARM Cortex-R5 real-time processing unit (RPU), and an ARM MALI -400 graphics processing unit (GPU) and a wealth of programmable logic resources, as well as on-chip memory space and expandable external storage interface, supporting a variety of peripheral interconnect interfaces.

The first version of the board uses the XCZU9EG-1FFVC900 device and also integrates 2/4GB of 64-bit DDR4-2400 memory. In addition, the programmable logic also expands the 512MB/1GB 16-bit DDR4-2400 memory space. Applications that support high data streams, such as video codecs and high-speed signal processing. The onboard FMC interface complies with the Vita 57.1 HPC standard with 90 SE I/O interface (a 45-pair differential interface) and 10 MGT interfaces for a wider range of applications such as Software Defined Radio (SDR), EW /ISR system, video camera processing, advanced multi-axis motor control, Gig Ethernet communication, LIDAR/RADAR/SONAR and other applications.

The integrated PCIe Gen2 Switch chip on the board allows it to function as a single board computer. When the board acts as a system controller, it can manage the communication of eight 3U OpenVPX communication slots without any additional single board computer modules (SBC). ), effectively avoiding size, power and cost issues.

In addition, PanaTeQ also designed the interface expansion module RTM-ZU1-A for the VPX3-ZU1 module. The extended interface includes two 100/1000M RJ-45 network interfaces, two USB 3.0 Type-A interfaces, and two USB2. .0 Type-A interface, 1 mini video output display interface, 1 SATA 3.1 interface and 2 RS-232/422/485 CAN bus interfaces.
