Foshan Enterprises Jointly Releases LED Downlight Alliance Standard

Recently, seven companies in Foshan jointly issued LED Downlight alliance standards. According to the standard, Foshan LED downlights will be affixed with collective signs into the market.

Foshan "LED Downlight Alliance Standard" was jointly initiated by Foshan Standard Technology Research Institute, Foshan Lighting Association, Foshan University of Sun Yat-sen University and other units in August last year. National Star Optoelectronics, Blue Arrow Electronics, Zhaoxin Lighting, Kay Western LED lighting, Langshi Lighting, Zhongye Optoelectronics and other seven LED product manufacturing enterprises in the city jointly participated in the development. In the early stage, a series of work procedures including opinion solicitation, inspection and verification, and expert review were formally released.

This alliance standard is regulated from the specifications of the LED downlight, shape, power and other factors. Ren Weiqing, president of the Foshan Institute of Standards and Technology, introduced that in the future, the use of collective signs will not be mandatory for LED downlights in the city.
