User refuses to go free to Win10

US Internet research company Net Applications recently released a report saying that PC users of the Microsoft Windows 7 operating system refused to upgrade to the Windows 10 system, although the latter only needs a free upgrade.

Most Windows 7 users still use this 6-year-old operating system. According to data published by Net Applications, 56.1% of networked PC users still use Windows 7 in November. The proportion of PC users using Windows 7 has changed little since Windows 10 was released: it was 57.7% in August, 56.5% in September, and 55.7% in October.

By comparison, the number of PC users in the Windows 8 system has increased. The percentage of PC users in November was 14%, up from 13.2% in October. In the month before Windows 10 was released, Windows 8 accounted for 16%.

On July 29th, Microsoft released Windows 10 globally, and PC users for Windows 7 and Windows 8 will upgrade for free within one year. After 4 months of release, Windows 10's market share has risen to 9% in November, compared to 7.9% in October.
