Nazhijie U5SUV, Dongfeng Yulongna Zhijie official website officially released the first wave of fixed photo, with a young look in October officially

At the Shanghai Auto Show in April 2017, the Luxgen U5 SUV made its debut as a concept car. After about a season, the first batch of official photos was finally released on the official website of Dongfeng Yulong Nazhijie, and it's anticipated to hit the market at the Chengdu Motor Show in late August. It's scheduled for an official launch in China in October. The Luxgen small crossover SUV, officially named the "U5 SUV," aligns with current trends and presents itself with a youthful appearance. The exterior design largely follows the styling of the U6, almost like a compact version of the U6. According to the announcement from "Dongfeng Yulong Nazhijie," the U5 SUV has dimensions of 4395x1763x1594mm, with a wheelbase of 2620mm. The powertrain is expected to use the same 1.6-liter naturally aspirated engine as the S3, but with enhanced performance. The maximum horsepower output for the Chinese version of the U5 is 91kW, equivalent to 123.76ps (122hp), with a peak torque of 153Nm (approximately 15.6kgm). This is slightly higher than the S3. The power specifications for the Taiwanese version will be announced later by the original manufacturer. The transmission system will feature a CVT automatic gearbox. Additionally, the news from "Dongfeng Yulong Nazhijie" reveals that the U5 SUV’s interior will include leather seats and a 12-inch touchscreen interface. It’s expected to come equipped with a new version of the multifunctional infotainment system, featuring voice control functionality. Drivers will also be able to remotely control the vehicle via an app, with features like starting or turning off the car, a 360-degree panoramic view, and what’s called "transparent chassis" technology, providing enhanced external imaging assistance. There might even be an automatic parking system. It’s anticipated to become one of the most technologically advanced models in Luxgen's lineup. To be honest, with the current popularity of small SUVs, many people expected Luxgen to release the "U5" around the same time as the "S3" in 2016. Back then, popular models like the Honda HR-V and Toyota C-HR hadn’t yet been launched, giving Luxgen a potential head start. While keeping pace with trends, it remains to be seen if the "U5 SUV," which is now a year behind schedule, can achieve the desired effect of coming in after the initial wave. Only time will tell.
