All these events seemed to follow the CS55 closely. Ever since its debut at the Shanghai Auto Show, the CS55 has been drawing attention like a true internet sensation in the Chinese market. So much so that when Qing Ge received the invitation for its official launch, they were momentarily taken aback—"Wait, isn't this product already on the market?"
On July 26th, the CS55 was officially unveiled in Hangzhou. The official starting price ranged from 8.39 to 13.29 million yuan, with a total of eight models released, offering a 1.5T+6MT/6AT powertrain system.

Similar to its exterior, the interior of the CS55 represents a bold leap forward for Changan. Compared to the older, more conservative designs, the CS55 features bold lines, vibrant contrasting colors, and thick red accents—not only does this set it apart within Chinese brands but also places it among the top in its class.
In terms of smart configurations, the CS55 boasts several standout features, including Changan’s signature "Hello Xiaoan," as well as advanced systems like the PAB warning auxiliary braking system, LCDA intelligent parallel line assist system, LDW lane departure warning system, and APA automatic parking assist system. Notably, the automatic parking assist system on the CS55 can operate entirely without manual intervention. Once the driver steps out, the car can park itself seamlessly.
Under the hood, the CS55 is powered by a new 1.5T all-aluminum engine from BlueCore, delivering a maximum output of 115 kW and a peak torque of 225 N·m. Paired with an imported Aisin 6AT transmission, it offers excellent fuel efficiency, quick gear shifts, and a variety of control functions. Beyond its impressive stability, the powertrain system is highly competitive within its class. After all, for urban SUVs, "off-road" capabilities are secondary—what truly matters is being practical and efficient in the city.
When the pre-sale price for the CS55 was announced, many industry insiders questioned whether it might cannibalize sales of the CS75. However, Qing Ge sees the CS55 more as a complementary addition to the existing lineup, working alongside CS15, CS35, CS75, and CS95 to compete effectively against rivals. Just like how Haval H6 and H2 cater to different segments, the CS55 offers a more compact and refined interior, appealing to a younger audience, while the CS75 emphasizes space and versatility. The strategy of having multiple models isn’t about creating competition between them but rather focusing on differentiation to target diverse customer needs.
