As the market penetration of LED backlight LCD TVs is expected to reach a new high in 2011, and LED lighting business opportunities will be officially detonated, it will lead to LED supply exceeding demand. Global LED epitaxial wafers are competing to expand more than 6å‹ organic metals. After the chemical vapor phase epitaxy (MOCVD) machine, following the Korean manufacturer, Longda Electronics and other Taiwan LED epitaxial plants have also placed 6 å‹ MOCVD machines.
Ai Siqiang's fifth-generation MOCVD machine has received orders from China's LED epitaxial wafer factory Sanan Optoelectronics, Philips Lumileds, etc. The company estimates that the fifth-generation output can more than double the previous generation system.
Aixtron revealed that the domestic LED epitaxial wafer factory including Ronda Electronics has ordered 6 å‹ MOCVD machines from Ai Siqiang, and it is expected that the machines will be supplied in the second half of the year. Compared with Taiwanese companies, Korean LED epitaxial manufacturers have added MOCVD machines without any problems. Earlier, they have purchased several 6-inch MOCVD machines.
With the help of energy-saving and carbon-reduction policies in various countries, the demand for LED lighting market has also risen. In order to avoid the recurrence of the tight supply, global LED epitaxial wafer factories have increased their investment in MOCVD machines, and once again, MOSI and Veeco have been MOCVD. The large supply of machine manufacturers was caught off guard, and even led to the dilemma of a machine.
Focusing on the future LED demand will increase significantly, Ai Siqiang has developed 8 å‹ MOCVD machine to help customers reduce production costs, improve efficiency and expand production capacity. Ai Siqiang pointed out that considering the customer's upgrade requirements, the size of the Aussie 8 å‹ MOCVD machine is not much different from that of the machine below 8 ,, mainly because the internal wafer groove structure area is different, and the replacement crystal can be replaced later. The round slot is easy to upgrade.
In order to avoid the LED main lighting demand sprouting, LED supply is tightening, Longda Electronics expects that there will be 80 MOCVD machines in place by the end of this year. In 2011, 50 MOCVD machines will be added one after another, with 4-6 å‹ machines. Mainly, there will be a total of 130 MOCVD machines by the end of 2011. As of 2012, 6 to 8 å‹ MOCVD machines will be expanded depending on market demand.
