2011 China SME E-commerce Survey Report On June 13, 2012, the China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC) released the 2011 China SME E-commerce Survey Report in Beijing. The report provides statistics on the application foundation, status quo, and effects of e-commerce for SMEs (excluding individual business).

The penetration rate of e-commerce in small and micro enterprises is relatively low, but e-commerce transactions account for a relatively high percentage. The report shows that the proportion of online sales to online sales is 21.2% of the total sales, and the online purchase amount The proportion of the total purchases was an average of 19.2%. The proportion of 7-19 small- and micro-enterprise small and micro enterprises applying e-commerce is significantly lower than the overall proportion of the respondents. The applicability of SMEs to the use of e-commerce has been recognized. The "Report" shows that interviewed SMEs that use e-commerce have all recognized that e-commerce has brought certain benefits to the business. The main reason for this recognition is that it shortens transaction time, helps companies to expand sales scope and area, and can buy more abundant products. And for small and medium-sized enterprises engaged in e-commerce transactions, the proportion of their turnover, operating profit, and profit rate increased compared with that in 2010 was significantly higher than that of enterprises without online trading activities.

Potential application of e-commerce enterprises will not be very active in the future "Report" shows that in the past, SMEs that have not conducted e-commerce transaction activities have little enthusiasm for future use, and only about 10% of enterprises indicate that they will conduct online sales and purchases in the future. 33.1% of the surveyed SMEs did not conduct online sales and procurement activities due to the uncertainty of e-commerce performance, and 29.1% of the enterprises did not think that e-commerce operations were required.
