Abstract: For the technical maturity of outdoor high-power LED lighting products, the industry is mixed. This paper believes that the standard modularized LED light engine can solve the current heat dissipation, protection, versatility, and versatility of outdoor high-power LED lighting products. A series of problems such as maintenance and serialization are the only way for such products.

Outdoor high-power LED lighting products have always been the most concerned products in the field of LED applications, especially LED street lights. There are many different opinions inside and outside the industry. They think that LED street lighting technology is still not mature, and people who lack large-scale practical promotion value have it. It is believed that LED street light technology has been relatively mature, and there are also people who have large-scale promotion and practicality.

The author believes that the above two opinions have certain objectivity and correctness, but also have certain subjectivity and one-sidedness; according to the information asymmetry theory, people's knowledge and information acquisition are relatively limited, so when people judge When the practical value of a product is often judged based on several technologies and products that he is familiar with, this has caused the industry to debate the LED street lamp. I think that the technology is not mature, and the lack of industry promoters mainly sees the LED street lamp. The technical flaws existed, but those who believe that the technology is mature and have large-scale promoters ignore the technical bottlenecks existing in most current LED streetlight solutions.


After a lot of research and analysis, the author believes that standard modularization will become an effective way to solve the technical problems related to LED street lamps and improve the practicality of LED street lamps. Standard modularization can not only improve the convenience and promotion of LED street lamps. At the same time, from a purely technical point of view, standard modularization is also the only way to solve the current application difficulties of high-power lighting products. This article will use LED street lights as an example to analyze related technical solutions for high-power LED lighting products.

First, let's explore why many industry experts believe that LED street light technology is still immature and lacks practicality.

When it comes to LED street lights, most people tend to think of this type of luminaire as shown in Figure 1.

For the LED street light in the form of Figure 1, for the convenience of writing and reading, I will call it "full-panel" LED street light. This "full-board" LED street light is the standard solution for LED street light. The first GB/T 24907 is released. For the standard performance range of LED lighting for road lighting, there is a description of "combined LED lighting devices that meet the requirements of road lighting, in addition to light-emitting diodes (LEDs) as light sources, but also other components, such as optical, mechanical , electrical and electronic components, etc., and combine these components into one." According to the standard textbook, the description of the scope of application: "For example, optical, mechanical, electrical and electronic components, and the combination of these components into a whole", this is a "full-plate" luminaire The textbook also pointed out that "this kind of lamp has the following characteristics: a) the light source of the LED lamp for road lighting is irreplaceable; b) the control drive circuit and the lamp body casing in the LED lamp for road illumination are LEDs for road illumination The components of the lamp."

Before analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of "full-board" street lamps, we first need to introduce what the standard modularization scheme refers to in this paper. The standard modularization scheme refers to the existence of several independent solutions for heat dissipation, waterproofing and light distribution in a single fixture. The LED module solution, as shown in Figure 2, uses a relatively popular industry term called "light engine."

Operating temperature range:

Mini Door Lock Motor should be used at a temperature of -10~60℃.

The figures stated in the catalog specifications are based on use at  ordinary room temperature catalog specifications re based on use at ordinary room temperature  (approximately20~25℃.
