If you want to store more historical data, you can use the OSI historical database, which can store more than three years. These general-purpose monitoring software all have an OSI interface. The operating station of the old generation DCS system is special for both operating system and monitoring software, and it is very difficult to communicate with other systems. If you want to establish interconnection between systems, establish a dynamic data server through the computer interface unit, the monitoring software can still use the universal, running on the NT platform, but its data can only be upstream, not downstream. In the process of designing the MIS system, it is best to use a dynamic data server. Do not send DCS and PLC data directly to the Web or it will affect the normal operation of DCS and PLC. As for how many dynamic data servers need to be established, it is determined by the amount of data to be collected and data security (generally, up to 10,000 points).
