Made in Japan was hit again: maglev project falsified

Maglev high-speed rail has always been a Japanese-made item that is most eager to show off, but even it can not escape the fate of fraud. According to a report from the Japan Kyodo News Agency, one of the contractors of the Tokyo-Osaka Magnetic Suspension Shinkansen line, Obayashi, has been involved in fraud during the bidding process. The rejuvenation project after the March 11 earthquake has increased rapidly. In recent years, the bidding fraud case centered on large-scale construction companies has become active again, and the central Shinkansen is being seen as another project after the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Now that such a thing has happened, I am shocked once again in Japan. The central Shinkansen can reduce the distance from Tokyo to Nagoya by 1.5 hours required for the Tokaido Shinkansen to 40 minutes, shorten Tokyo to Osaka from 2.5 hours to 1 hour and 7 minutes, and the entire construction cost is 525 billion yuan. For such matters, the Japanese media believes that the bidding fraud of the Maglev Shinkansen is undoubtedly another heavy blow to Japan’s manufacturing.
