Immersive browsing products, MasterCard partners with accessories suppliers to launch VR shopping

MasterCard is working with Swarovski, a supplier of crystal products, to develop virtual reality applications so that users can browse the product without leaving their homes and purchase orders through Masterpass. This application is mainly designed for Atelier Swarovski home decoration series, with VR head display users can visit the five areas of the virtual home improvement and browse the goods. The experience highlights the price of the product, as well as the details of the production process and the "inspiration behind the story." When the application is officially launched, the user can log in to the Masterpass account so that they can activate the purchase option simply by looking at the Masterpass button at the bottom of the product description. Linda Kirkpatrick, Executive Vice President of MasterCard, stated: “MasterCard’s goal is to provide consumers with a choice that is as seamless and secure as possible, allowing them to shop in their preferred time and in the way they like. This means that businesses need to be able to attract their customers through multiple technology platforms (in-store, online, in-app, and virtual reality and augmented reality)."
