My OLED lighting energy efficiency creates a world record for similar devices

Nanjing Dihao Organic Optoelectronics Co., Ltd. successfully prepared the internal light extraction IES- OLED white light illumination module, which has an energy efficiency of 111.7 lumens/watt (lm/W), setting a world record for similar devices. Recently, the China High-tech Industrialization Research Association held a results appraisal meeting in Beijing that the overall technology and system of the project has reached the international advanced level.
OLED is a kind of semiconductor device that can convert electrical energy into light energy. The energy consumption of illumination is only 1/6 of incandescent lamp and 1/2 of fluorescent lamp, which is equivalent to high quality LED lamp; OLED light quality is close to natural light, no heat radiation, It does not contain mercury and other heavy metals, and has no problems such as pollution and waste disposal. It has great health and environmental benefits.
In order to improve energy efficiency and extend product life, Nanjing Dijon has independently developed an optimized formulation of external light extraction materials containing micron particles. It is the first in the world to use a simple and inexpensive coating method to improve materials and coating processes. EES-OLED lighting device with light extraction efficiency of 80% was prepared; dark blue phosphorescent light-emitting system material and electron transport material were developed, which greatly reduced the device driving voltage and improved power efficiency; and developed the EES-OLED lighting panel production process. It has also developed key technologies such as short-circuit proof and high-reliability packaging, improved the function of OLED devices and extended their lifespan, and built a production line with a capacity of 20,000 square meters.
Xu Zheng, a professor at the Institute of Optoelectronic Technology of Beijing Jiaotong University, said that the OLED lighting module project is an independent research and development enterprise based on market demand, and is a high-tech and strategic emerging industry field supported by the state. OLED lighting is a surface light source, no ultraviolet light, soft light, uniform, no glare. Its lighting is suitable for youth eye protection lamps and military equipment and equipment with high space requirements, harsh environment, high altitude and high pressure; its good color rendering performance is very good. It is good to restore the original color of the cultural relics and protect the cultural relics. It is suitable for special places such as museums.
At present, the EU, the United States, South Korea and Japan have formulated OLED lighting development strategies, and the success of OLED lighting modules has enabled China to maintain a world-leading level in this field.
